The North Yorkshire Dales Methodist Circuit are looking to dispose of two chapels in Wensleydale. In accordance with the Planning Policy of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority all closed community buildings must be advertised within the local community for six months to ascertain if there is a need for an alternative community use for the building. At the suggestion of the YDNPA Planning Officer, the following news item would fulfil this obligation.
On Thursday the 3rd of September a new Business Network will be launched in Lower Wensleydale.
The new Lower Wensleydale Business Network will replace the existing Leyburn and Mid Wensleydale Business Association, with new faces and a new approach to the needs of businesses in the area.
Following the successful auction of the Tour De France sheep displayed at The Black Swan in Leyburn, local causes are now set to share the sum of £450.
5 local causes will each receive a donation of £90 towards their work.
The chosen causes were Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Leyburn First Responders, Lower Wensleydale Youth Project, The Jonas Centre and Swaledale Mountain Rescue.
Three individuals now own the world famous TDF sheep previously displayed at The Black Swan in Leyburn. This was a ewe-nique opportunity to grab a baa-gain and own a piece of Tour De France memorabilia.
These 4 amazing 5 foot high sheep have now been auctioned and have raised £450 for local charitable causes following the success of the Tour de France coming to Wensleydale.
